Adolescent Mental Health IOP in Bluffton, SC
When a teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or another mental health condition, weekly therapy sessions don’t always provide enough support. Rising Tides’ Adolescent Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) gives teens and families a higher level of structured care, without stepping away from school, friends, and daily life.
Our comprehensive 12-week program is tailored for adolescents ages 13 to 17, providing structured support during this pivotal stage of development. Meeting three days per week, participants benefit from regular engagement and a consistent therapeutic environment.
What Is Adolescent Mental Health IOP?
Intensive outpatient treatment is a step above traditional weekly therapy but doesn’t require an overnight stay. Teens attend structured treatment several days per week for several hours per session, then return home each evening, allowing them to keep practicing new coping skills in their real environment while staying connected to school and family.
Rising Tides’ Adolescent Mental Health IOP is designed for teens who need more than once-a-week counseling but don’t require 24-hour residential care.
Who This Program Is For?
This program may be a good fit for teens and adolescents experiencing:
- Anxiety or panic symptoms that interfere with school or home life
- Depression or persistent low mood
- Difficulty regulating emotions or frequent conflict at home or school
- Trauma-related symptoms
- Recent stepping-down from a higher level of care
- A recent crisis or hospitalization requiring structured follow-up support
Note: if a teen is also struggling with substance use, our team will screen for co-occurring needs and coordinate with our Adolescent Addiction IOP as appropriate.
