Adolescent Addiction IOP in SC
Substance use in adolescence rarely happens in isolation — it’s often tangled up with stress, mental health symptoms, family dynamics, and peer pressure. Rising Tides’ Adolescent Addiction Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) gives teens structured, evidence-based support to work through substance use while staying connected to home, school, and family.
Designed for teens aged 13-17, our program spans 12 weeks and meets three times each week. We utilize proven modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Motivational Interviewing (MI), psychoeducation, and experiential activities to address a wide range of needs.
What Is Adolescent Addiction IOP?
Intensive outpatient treatment offers a higher level of structured care than weekly counseling, without requiring an overnight stay. Teens attend treatment multiple days per week for several hours per session, building recovery skills they can immediately apply in daily life.
Rising Tides’ Adolescent Addiction IOP is designed for teens who need more support than standard outpatient counseling but do not require residential or medically monitored care.
Who This Program Is For?
This program may be a good fit for teens and adolescents experiencing:
- Using alcohol, marijuana, vapes/nicotine, or other substances in ways that concern family, school, or providers
- Stepping down from a higher level of care (residential or PHP) and need continued structured support
- Difficulty regulating emotions or frequent conflict at home or school
- Experiencing early-stage substance use alongside co-occurring mental health symptoms
- In need of a structured recovery routine without stepping away from school or home
Note: if a teen’s primary concern is a mental health condition without significant substance use, our Adolescent Mental Health IOP may be the better starting point. Our team completes a screening to determine the right fit.
